Meet Kaya – an adorable cat who craves all the pets! If you’re not giving her attention, she’s sure to nuzzle up against you for some love. Kaya’s unique charm lies in her congenital facial abnormality, which gives her an irresistibly grumpy yet endearing expression. When Odelkis Barrera, the founder of TO Rescue, came across a picture of Kaya, she was immediately drawn to help this special kitty.
On Facebook/ToRescue.org, a kind-hearted individual discovered Kaya abandoned outside and reached out to TO Rescue for help back in July. At just 4 weeks old, the tiny kitten was suffering from dehydration, malnourishment, and a severe flea and tick infestation. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Barrera and Kaya’s foster family, the once frail kitten began to flourish. She quickly bounced back and her charming personality started to shine. Described as chatty and lively, TO Rescue shared on Facebook, “She’s incredibly intelligent and she just craves human company and being cuddled.”

Despite facing many challenges in her young life, this special kitten never lost her loving and playful nature. Described as not only the most adorable kitty but also incredibly sweet, she has won the hearts of everyone she meets. The rescue organization shared, “She is loved by all her foster families, gets along well with other pets, and has a truly amazing personality.”
Barbara, a volunteer at the rescue, shared, “She is truly exceptional. All she craves is affection and love. She constantly seeks attention and affection from anyone around her. If you’re not petting her, she will find a way to nuzzle against you for some love.”
When Kayla isn’t feeling comfortable with her temporary guardians, she enjoys nothing more than having a blast with her beloved cardboard box. The rescue organization stated, “Kayla can spend hours having the time of her life inside that box. She’s a complete entertainment package! This little girl is absolutely precious.”
Currently at the age of 5 and a half months old, all Kayla wants is to find a loving and permanent home. Despite undergoing surgery to improve her vision and alleviate eye discomfort, she has not yet received any adoption inquiries. Despite her visual limitations, she has adapted well and can navigate her surroundings effortlessly. Kayla’s keen senses always allow her to detect the presence of other animals or people, eagerly seeking a companion to play with.
