In the upcoming release of Creed III this March, fans will witness Michael B. Jordan stepping into the director’s chair for the first time. However, in the meantime, he has also taken on a new role as a house renovator, diversifying his skill set and expanding his career opportunities.
After owning the SoCal property for eight months, the actor is ready to sell his farmhouse-style home in Encino’s Royal Estates neighborhood for $12.9 million. He initially bought the house for $12.5 million in May and has invested almost $500,000 in renovations, despite it being newly built in 2021.
Andrew Mortaza from the Agency mentioned that the security and cooling systems of the house were improved, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. The property, co-listed by Bryan Castaneda, boasts 12,300 square feet of living area, eight bedrooms, and ten bathrooms. Nestled on half an acre behind gated entrances, it features a cabana, a two-story guest house, and a separate massage room on the premises.
The home boasts a state-of-the-art movie theater with soundproofing, a well-equipped gym, an elevator, and a stunning glass-enclosed wine cellar with precise temperature control. The kitchen, which is custom-designed with two islands, top-of-the-line appliances, and elegant cabinets, is a standout feature of the residence.
The main suite is a showstopper with two bathrooms, a cozy fireplace, a private balcony, and not one, but two expansive dressing rooms. According to Mortaza, this area always elicits a “wow” reaction from visitors. One intriguing detail mentioned by Dirt is the dedicated shoe closet, a fitting feature for Jordan, known for his love of sneakers.
Large sliding glass doors seamlessly connect the indoor space to the outdoor oasis, taking advantage of Los Angeles’ pleasant weather. The backyard features a pavilion complete with a kitchen, a comfortable poolside couch, and a luxurious zero-edge pool.
The reason behind the actor’s decision to sell his house remains a mystery. It could be that he is looking to make some extra money or possibly eyeing an upgrade depending on the success of his latest film. Considering his recent appearance in one of the most successful movies of all time, he definitely has plenty of cash to play around with.
