After 22 days of searching, Grace was overjoyed to find her missing rabbit, Sharon, nestled snugly inside her couch. Sharon had mysteriously disappeared from Grace’s backyard one afternoon while she was busy hanging out her laundry in inner north Melbourne.
“I scoured every inch of the neighborhood looking for her, but there was no trace of fur or signs of a struggle, so I was hopeful she hadn’t been run over or snatched by a sly fox,” Grace shared with news.com.au.
Grace’s beloved pet rabbit Sharon disappeared from her backyard in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Despite searching and putting up flyers, there was no sign of Sharon for 22 days. Grace had almost lost hope until a friend unexpectedly found Sharon preparing to settle in for a nap on her couch. Grace was overjoyed but joked that Sharon seemed annoyed at being discovered.
A friend of Grace made a miraculous discovery when she found Sharon (who is shown in the picture) alive after being missing for 22 days, tucked away inside the couch as if she was ready for a nap.
Sharon was incredibly thirsty and thinner than before, having survived on the duvet she had been munching on while hidden away. Grace wanted to ensure that Sharon hadn’t suffered any harm during her couch ordeal, so she promptly reached out to a vet for a check-up.
Once Sharon was back at her home in the backyard, Grace wasted no time in getting rid of the infamous couch that had somehow harbored her missing pet for more than three weeks. To Grace’s surprise, Sharon managed to stay quiet the entire time she was trapped inside.
Grace marveled at how silent Sharon had been, especially considering she knew rabbits were capable of screaming based on videos she had seen. Despite the mysterious circumstances, Sharon’s safe return was a relief to everyone involved.
